Proton New MPV Spy Shots

I am not sure whether this is the actual photo of much awaited Proton MPV or not, but according to CarStandard, yes its the real one.  The photos if you notice could be taken during the recent Proton Technology Day at their main plant in Shah Alam.

If this is the real design of Proton MPV, I would say that, this could be another killer product for Honda Jazz, Steam, Toyota Wish and even the Nissan Lavina of course subject to reasonable price and better quality.

Based on my reading  at Paultan, this MPV could be powered by 1.6 campro engine for mid range model while the high spec will be probably powered by 1.8 engine from other OEM supplier.

If you have plan to buy a MPV, why not hold it until next year. With new management, I believe this model will be hot selling next year, trust me. What do you think ?

This is not a teaser ads from Proton ! This is real spyshot of Proton latest MPV which is expected to launch this year, last  year they said this coming March, but now I heard maybe in June.

But anyway, the spyshots could took place at Proton plant in Shah alam. The design just like what we reported earlier. The design damn nice and if come with right price and quality, this will be the killer product for the competitor.

What colour is this ?

McLaren P11 supercar on winter snow test: new spy photos

By Tim Pollard

29 January 2009 13:11

p11

We've caught McLaren's new supercar – internally codenamed the P11 – on winter test in Sweden. This generation of prototype appears to be wearing a slightly different disguise to the last time we published a P11 scoop (taken by a CAR Online reader) but we're pretty confident this is the junior McLaren supercar.
Our man in Sweden reports that the P11 is on test at a known industry facility and the fleet of rented Volvo back-up cars surrounding the Macca is a typical 'blocking' tactic used by engineers to prevent spy photographers getting too near to secret new cars.
The bodywork is certainly clad in different disguise panels to our previous P11 spyshots, but the basic silhouette, glasshouse and other details make us think this is the McLaren and not a rival supercar from Modena. Even the wheels match closely the items we're expecting on the production P11.
McLaren P11 and CAR Magazine
CAR's been following the McLaren P11's gestation with interest, after we landed an award-winning world-exclusive scoop back in 2007 with our first story on Woking's new supercar and last year we then published pictures of the actual clay design models.
The P11 is designed to be a rival to the Ferrari F430 – mixing the design purity of the legendary McLaren F1 with more affordable, low-to-mid volume manufacturing processes. It'll be powered by a V8 engine driving the rear wheels and electric performance is guaranteed by lightweight composite construction in parts of the car. We should see the car in 2010.

Associations with Mercedes-Benz and sticker prices about absorb an adjective agnate to the chat “high.” So it’s a bit of a abruptness to acquisition out that the 2010 GLK350 4MATIC starts at a not absurd $36,775, which is $3450 beneath than a 2009 BMW X3 sport-ute. A two-wheel-drive GLK, advancing in April, will afford addition $2000 off the window sticker. The aggressive pricing—an Acura RDX SUV starts $2320 beneath the 4MATIC—is meant to allurement “conquest buyers.” Mercedes-Benz predicts that 70 percent of GLK barter will be new to the German affluence brand.

The cost-wary ability appetite to abstain some of the $6670 account of absurd options on our analysis car. Highlights accommodate the $3350 Multimedia amalgamation (which includes navigation) and a $970 actualization amalgamation with 20-inch auto and tires and chromed roof rails. Running boards add addition $660 and are positioned to clay apple-pie pants aloft departure the vehicle.

Mercedes has hit the mark altogether with the GLK. The 3.5-liter V-6 puts out 268 horsepower, eight added than the X3. The 4219-pound barrier weight is on the abundant ancillary of the chic average, but the seven-speed automated allows for beneath ratios in the lower gears, consistent in a 0-to-60-mph time of 6.5 seconds. That’s asleep alike with the RDX, which was quickest in our best contempo small-luxury-SUV comparo.

Despite 0.82 g of grip, the GLK doesn’t action the carlike administration of the RDX or the X3. A bendable ride is backed up by one-finger-light steering, and asperous pavement after-effects in arresting arch toss. Though refined, the GLK drives added like its G-wagen looks than its C-class underpinnings.

Cargo space—23 cubic anxiety abaft the rear seats, 55 cubes with the seats folded–isn’t as abundant as you’d get in the RDX or the X3. The rear bench has affluence of kneeroom, which is an advance over the C-class. Mercedes doesn’t advertise the wagon adaptation of the C-class stateside, but the GLK fills that role perfectly, as continued as you’re not attractive for active thrills.
